Many of us are in a never ending spiral of gaining weight and losing weight.
Our lives revolve around losing weight before a big event like a wedding, and we generally fall back
into old habits when it’s over.
We need to stop thinking that losing weight is the be all and end all, and realize that a healthy lifestyle
is required to make the results sustainable.
In fact, quick weight gains and losses can have a detrimental effect on our health.
If we focus on correct nutrition and stop worrying about our exact weight, we will see greater long term
rewards, and live a much happier life.
This daily obsession with the number on a scales needs to end.
The important thing to remember is that losing fat should be the goal, as weight loss is often simply
made up of muscle and water.
Losing fat is something to celebrate, losing muscle and water is not.
Fat loss is achieved through proper training and correct nutrition, and this is what we need to focus on.
People often ask is ‘What is the difference between weight loss and fat loss?’
This infographic from Medilean provides the answer along with more information on the correct approach
to losing weight and identifies the key ingredients required to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
It also illustrates some of the common mistakes that people make and provides solutions that can be
easily applied.
Simple things like not getting enough good fats might slow down fat loss progress though it’s easy to
understand how this may be hard for some people to believe.

Hi Jamie,
I am over the moon that The Pretty Pintastic Party has featured Weight Loss vs Fat Loss from Urban Naturale. I love this party! I sincerely appreciate the recognition and support. I am going to place the featured button on my site! Again, thank you!
This is true. I remember during my teenage years, I used to drop weight on the scale and I was really happy about that. But when I step up on a machine that can determine BMI, fat percentage etc (I forgot what it’s called), the fitness personnel told me that I have a high percentage of fat stored in my body! Since then, I did the right way and I live a healthy life.
