We must have all heard these infamous lines one too many times “Men are from Mars and women from Venus” or this one “ Men see life in Blue and women see it in Pink” The first line does not really mean that men and women are actually from different planets. However, we are so different in so many ways like the way we think, the way we react to different situations, the level of our emotions and so many other factors that there is no way we would have originated from the same planet.

The early years
From an early age, young boys and girls do everything differently. While girls will use different warm colors to paint people, family members and faces with warm and multiple colors, boys will opt to use much cooler and dull colors to paint their pictures that is if they choose to paint with colors at all.
Likewise, in childhood, girls love dolls and any other toy that demonstrates life or looks attractive. Boys on the other hand like objects that move and make noise. They almost hate the act of breathing life into teddies or dolls.
The older years
As we get older, nothing much changes and our differences become more pronounced leading to lots of frustrations. Women make emotionally driven decision, which really is annoying to many men. They consider this as weakness while women think that the man has a very inflexible mind, which to them is almost inhuman.

Coping with stress
When it comes to coping during stressful periods, and processing anger, we are again very different. Men thrive off stress and can go on with their daily chores without giving a care in the world of anything weighing them down. Women on the other hand cannot cope or show any strength when a pressurizing situation presents itself. They will take time, maybe days, weeks or even months to come to terms with it whilst men forget about such situations within the shortest time possible. Men use physical means to exhibit their aggression while women use verbal means.
Commitment to family
Family is another area where men and women think in completely different lines. There is a very big difference in commitment level to family for both men and women. Women feel very frustrated that they create a family, care for the family yet the men make very little effort to commit fully like be there for the family as much as the women are.
Scientific reasons
There is however a reason why we do so many things differently. It is all scientific and all has to do with our genetics. Our brains are completely different and generally, women are smaller than men are, so doing some of the things men do is almost impossible. Women use both sides of the brain so easily respond better to any emotional experiences unlike men that use just one part of the brain. This also explains why women are able to retain memories for longer periods than men can.

Wrapping it up
The differences between men and women will always be there. There is probably no time when we will ever see life in the same colors, however, in today’s world, things have changed tremendously.
