Beach weather is quickly approaching and a fit and healthy “beach body” is what many of us
would love to have.
I mean, who doesn’t dream of to having the kind of body she can proudly show off in that
fabulous new swimsuit!
Let’s face it…
Most of us would love to sport a fit and firm body–especially during beach season.
Of course, beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, but if you want to firm up a bit in time for beach
weather, here are a few beneficial exercises you can do in the comfort of your home, starting now:
1. Dumbbell Exercises
Dumbbell exercises are intended for muscle building and in the process also boost the metabolism
of fats.
It is important to have necessary dumbbell equipment at your home and make sure you have enough
space to exercise effciently.
Dumbbell workouts should last for a period ranging from 20-30 minutes a day consistently for
meaningful results.
Biochemicall–during any body exercise–energy is consumed.
The primary source of energy, in this case, is carbohydrates.
When glucose supply is depleted, then the second source of energy is fat and thus a lot of fats are
burned in the process.
Dumbbell exercises, therefore, burn the key fats that responsible for weight gain and loss of body
shape as a result of increased weight.
So start lifting!
2. Yoga and Breathing Exercises
Obesity is a real problem affecting our society today and has had a negative impact when it comes
to a beach body.
Yoga exercises are belly fat burners and therefore help to get rid of excessive fats in the belly region.
As a result, you obtain an excellent beach body resulting to an appealing look in a bikini.
Kapalbharti Pranayama, a yoga breathing exercise positively contributes to reduced body fat and
blood sugar levels.
It is important to note that excessive sugar in the body is biochemically converted to fats and stored
in the adipose tissues.
A low blood sugar level inhibits this process and this in effect prevents excessive body weight.
3. Push ups
Push ups are mainly used when training for fitness, muscle growth or strength.
They are great for strengthening the core, upper body and quads.
This exercise also contributes to loss of body weight due to excess calories burned in the process.
If you are doing push ups daily, then you will burn excess fats and calories.
Push ups build an individual’s muscles, builds up the upper muscles and boosts exercise
endurance level.
Endurance to exercise in itself is a way to burn fats.
However, push ups alone cannot help burn excessive fats and should therefore be combined with
a wise weight loss diet.
4. Planking
This technique involves lying in a face down position.
Just as the name suggests, you position yourself in a manner that mimics a wooden plank.
A beach body requires a flat belly and planking is one of the easiest ways to help you lose
excess belly fat.
Planking helps muscles to stabilize and reduce back pains.
Their action on muscles helps burn more calories, therefore contributing to decreased weight.
This bodyweight exercise can easily be done at home as it doesn’t involve many technical skills,
and all that is needed is an open surface.
Various planking positions gets rid of excess fats in different body parts leading to a better
physique as well as low body fat.
5. Back Extension Stability Ball
This exercise is designed to strengthen the erector spine in the back.
The muscles of the erector spine are composed of a lot of fibers located near the spine.
The exercise as designed involves a lot of muscle activity which burns calories and builds up
muscles in the back.
It is important to note that during extension stability ball exercises, a larger section of your body
is supported by a few muscles in the back and this in turn requires a lot of energy.
This means that a lot of fatty acids are burned to release energy resulting in loss of body weight.
Ready for a Beach Body?
The 5 exercises above can be easily done at home without the need to hit the gym.
Doing these exercises regularly can help you get beach body ready–so you can walk tall, looking
good and feeling great all summer long!
