As the days grew shorter and the weather cooled, we vowed to hold on to the unique sights and sounds
of summer at the shore.
We valiantly captured the ubiquitous memories that made us smile.
For as long as I can remember, my family has gathered for a day of fun and games
at Atlantic City’s Steel Pier.
Life’s a little sweeter on a carousel ride.
Last chance to rock that cool Marilyn tank top.
What’s a day on the boardwalk without a hot dog. (But that’s not mine!)
There’s nothing quite like the fear and exhilaration of thrill rides.
I firmly believe that screaming is so cathartic.
I loved reliving fond childhood memories of spinnng in those magical tea cups.
Nothing was as exciting as competing in an arcade game.
And winning a prize for your sweetie was often the highlight of day!
Somehow, Elvis was always in the house!
Carrying your arcade game prizes on the boardwalk was always a badge of honor.
Going home with armfuls of cool stuffed toys to add to your collection was a huge triumph!
We always thought that game was rigged, so finally getting the balls in those
hoops was a source of pride!
Gliding along the boardwalk in one of those famous rolling carts really made
friends and family happy.
Fun and sun at the shore: what better way to end the season on a high note.
But most of all, capturing special moments and savoring those memories will
keep them in our hearts and minds until summer comes again.
As we flow into fall and leave another summer behind, what are your fondest memories
of summer?
