You don’t need expensive products to achieve beautiful skin.
Lying right in your kitchen are the perfect ingredients you need to make healthy recipes for
a variety of skin issues.
Best of all, they’re straight from the earth and good for you.
If you’ve ever squinted at the list of ingredients on skincare products because the words are
so complicated and difficult to pronounce, you’ll know how frustrating it can be not to fully
comprehend what is really lurking inside your moisturizer or cleanser.
Conventional skincare often contains many chemical ingredients that are dangerous to your
health as they can cause a variety of reactions, from skin irritations to possibly more serious
illnesses such as cancer.
By choosing to apply natural DIY products to your skin, you erase the worry of what damage
you could be doing your body while enjoying the prettifying results.
Here are some top homemade recipes to try.
Scrub Your Way to Gorgeous Skin with Coffee
Getting rid of dead skin cells helps to replenish the skin’s youthfulness and dew-fresh appeal.
It also helps your skin better absorb what you put on it because a thick layer of dead cells is no
longer creating a barrier.
Use ground coffee as a natural exfoliator!
Here is an easy recipe:
What you will need:
● 1 cup ground coffee
● 1/2 cup coconut oil
● 1 cup salt or sugar
While the sugar/salt and coffee help to slough away your dead skin cells, the coconut oil gives
you gorgeously soft skin.
How to make it:
1. Melt the coconut oil and let it cool down.
2. Mix it with the other ingredients and place them in a mason jar where you can store the blend
away so that it’s available to you when you need to exfoliate your skin.
You should exfoliate once or twice a week.
Make Your Skin Wrinkle-Proof
Wrinkles don’t mean you have to head to your doctor’s office – natural ingredients can help to
de-wrinkle your skin.
Here’s a face mask that will tighten your skin and make it look more youthful.
You’ll need an apple and potato for this recipe.
The apple is a great source of Vitamin C which boosts collagen production in the skin, helping to make
it firmer and brighten dull areas.
On the other hand, the potato is great for making your skin look fresher and younger.
It contains maltodextrin, an extract that is used in cosmetics because it increases the anti-aging role
of hydroxy acids.
You’ll need:
1 Apple
1 Potato
How to make the mask:
1. Grate the apple and potato, then mix them well to create a paste.
2. Apply it to your face and sit with it for 20 minutes.
3. Rinse it off and welcome lustrous, more youthful skin that has fewer lines and age spots.
Dazzle Away the Dryness
Give your skin intensive hydration so that it looks supple and soft.
Dry skin can pose many problems.
For starters, it makes your skin dull.
It can also make the cosmetics you use look less-than-perfect – think flaky or rough application.
What you need is to give your skin intensive hydration so that it looks supple and soft.
You don’t want a lotion that’s too heavy during summer so this light yet nourishing recipe is just
perfect for pretty skin.
You’ll need:
● 10 drops chamomile essential oil
● 3 tablespoons calendula oil
● 1/2 tablespoon raw honey
● 1/2 tablespoon aloe vera
The chamomile is soothing and helps the skin to heal much like the cooling aloe, while the honey
helps to nourish the skin and beat infection.
Calendula helps the skin regenerate, so it adds a special touch to this recipe.
How to make it:
1. Take all the ingredients and pour them into a bottle. Shake it well so that they blend properly.
2. Store it in the fridge to keep it cool until use – this is extra refreshing in summer!
Celebrate Clearer Skin
You don’t want to be saddled with breakouts this summer but if you do find yourself at the
mercy of pimples, use this recipe in conjunction with your acne treatment.
This recipe has been approved by doctors and beauty experts, so it’s worth trying.
It’s also really easy.
You’ll need:
Water
A squeeze of lemon juice
Brewer’s Yeast
How to make it:
1. Mix the ingredients together into a paste.
2. Apply it directly to the pimple.
3. Let it get absorbed for about 10 minutes and cover it with a bandage during this time
before washing it off.
No fuss, easy recipes can help you achieve clearer, more beautiful skin.
Make it a point to use the above recipes regularly so your skin can unleash a stunning
complexion.

I will have to try some of these – Thanks for linking up to Pin Worthy Wednesday, I have pinned your post to the Pin Worthy Wednesday Pinterest Board.
I totally use coffee scrubs, too, but on my legs and booty. It’s good for sloughing off tough dry skin 😉 I also use brown sugar and lemon juice (or sometimes straight up baking soda and a little water) as a facial exfoliator.
I’m very interested in having my daughter try the recipe for clearer skin. She has suffered from embarrassing acne for a few years now and nothing seems to work for very long. I hope this works for her! Thank you! Alanna
