Living Wall Benefits
There are so many reasons to incorporate a living wall into your home design.
Air purification:
They can provide great health benefits like purifying the air in your home and releasing fresh oxygen into your space.
Save money sustainably:
Living walls can also lower your electricity bill by acting as an insulator. This keeps you from needing to use a lot of air conditioning.
Peaceful environment:
Their insulating effect also helps dampen noises from outside to create a quieter environment.
Better mentality:
The aesthetic pops of color and gorgeous greenery have been proven to put you in a better mental state and help you decrease stress.
Design Considerations
When designing your own indoor or outdoor living wall you need to keep your space, climate, and light source in mind. For example, succulents do better in warmer, sunnier areas. You’ll also want to consider the care requirements of the plants you choose. Try to pick plants with similar needs to make maintenance easier on yourself.
When planning out the look of your wall, consider your style, the decor you already have in your home, and how much space you have. Check out the infographic below for styling inspiration and plant recommendations!

I love this idea! I have a small vertical felt hanging planter that I’ve been trying to grow plants from in the last year. I must be using the wrong plants, since I haven’t had luck with much so far. I’ve grown some flowers in it, and most recently, herbs. I also have a box planter that has some succulents in it. Found you on the Happiness is Homemade link party. Thank you for sharing this!
