In the world we live in today, life gets so busy we sometimes forget to prioritize the most important commodity we have – our health. We all have non-stop lifestyles and are so busy making a living we don’t set time aside to cook healthy or exercise or even breathe in fresh air.
Often we look to our favorite celebrities who have glowing skin and perfect bodies, even just after giving birth, and wonder how they do it. How do these exceptionally busy people manage their lives in such a way that they are able to do what they do and are able to look so great and maintain optimum levels of health and wellness.
Let’s look to the celebrities that have been maintaining an abundance of health over the years and have more energy than they know what to do with!

Diet
Madonna has always been in shape to the extent that her body is exceptionally flexible and athletic. Never one to shy away from a disciplined way of life, she follows a very strict macrobiotic diet. According to Wikipedia, the macrobiotic diet is associated with Zen Buddhism and is based on the idea of balancing your yin and yang. This diet emphasizes locally grown whole grain cereals, seaweed, fruit, fermented soy products, vegetables and pulses (legumes).
If you are a lover of Japanese and Asian food, as I am, the great news is Miso soup is allowed, as well as fish dishes with brown rice or quinoa and vegetables. With this diet you can get really creative when you have the time to personalise it. Other celebrities who follow this diet are: Pamela Anderson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Alicia Silverstone, Tom Cruise and John Travolta among others.
Beyoncé is not a big fan of animal protein. For 22 days and during stressful times, as one can only imagine with the exceptionally hard working Beyoncé, she sticks to a rigorous vegan diet that gives her more mental clarity and allows her to keep that bootylicious body in check. Other celebrity vegans include Ellen Degeneres, who glows with perfect health, gorgeous Olivia Wilde and Joaquin Phoenix among others.
Celebrity powerhouses Jennifer Aniston, Demi Moore and Sandra Bullock all follow the Zone Diet which, according to WebMD, includes 3 meals and 2 snacks per day. Each is a mix of low-fat protein, like skinless turkey, chicken or fish; carbohydrates which consist of mainly fruit and vegetables and a small amount of “good” / “safe” fat, like olive oil, almonds, and avocado. I don’t know about you but that sounds pretty good to me. This diet sounds the most flexible allowing for many choices.

Exercise
I think we all know that without at least the most moderate of exercise staying in perfect or healthy shape is near impossible. Luckily my body agrees with walking and opting to walk around the city instead of driving or catching busses which allows me to get sufficient exercise per day. Celebrities, on the other hand, have to have perfect bodies – it is part of their job.
Supermodel friends Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid are big advocates of exercise. Millions of people around the world get to see every inch of their bodies – they are Victoria Secret Angels after all and have to look magnificent in the sexiest lingerie. Kendall admits that she focuses on exercises targeted at the abs such as crunches and situps and even recommends the App Instant Abs Trainer which she says keeps her motivated. Gigi is well known for her love of boxing to keep her in shape.
For milder forms of exercise such as Yoga and Pilates celebrities such as Gisele Bündchen, who loves yoga as well as meditation, Bar Rafaeli, Drew Barrymore, Miley Cyrus as well as “body-to-die-for” Jennifer Lopez all do yoga. Gorgeous, long-limbed Cameron Diaz and super sexy Megan Fox swear by Pilates.
