Do you refuse to drag yourself out of bed until you’ve hit the snooze button repeatedly?
Although there are lots of morning people out there, for many of us, mornings are a struggle.
And I must confess, mornings are still a big challenge for me!
Recent studies revealed that those who work out in the morning before work, school etc.
feel less stressed and more energized for the rest of the day.
The problem for most of us is getting the motivation to continue to be an early riser.
Changes in your attitude towards morning workouts won’t happen overnight, but taking
small steps in the right direction has so many awesome benefits.
Starting slow is the key to building habits that can last a lifetime.
Starting with gentle exercise will allow you to slowly build yourself up to being an early
morning mover.
Your willpower is a vital muscle that you need to work out consistently in order to make
your morning workouts a routine.

A small study in the UK found most women (but not all) lost more weight if they exercise having eaten during the day first whereas for men it was the other way round. That said, I do like exercising early if I can because then it’s already done for the day and I seem to have more energy.
Thank you for sharing that study. I had a personal trainer who advocated pre-breakfast morning workouts but I always felt better after having some tea or coffee. I agree that it is important to get it done early because then it is done!
I like moving with music. I believe music definitely is a plus.
What a great infographic! My favorite time to exercise is in the morning to start the day right! Thank you!
What a fantastic infographic! I really think Supplement Mart are the pro’s on morning workouts lol! I have been working out every week this year so far, it’s hard to do mornings but I’ve noticed a change in my body already. Having a gym buddy is def a plus guys!!
That infographic is super pretty. I go back and forth with working out in the morning. For the most part, I love it. But I do teach in the evenings, so sometimes I just workout before class!
Hi Jen,
I can totally relate. This is still one of my great challenges. Morning workouts are always on my to-do list!
