Hi! This is the first time I’ve posted over here… and in celebration of the holidays, I have two posts to share — Irish Eggnog and a real food version of Mexican Wedding Cakes!
Have a wonderful Holiday Season!

Hi Christine,
I feel like I have made a new friend. I just hopped over to your blog and I fell in love with your wonderful world!
In addition to this mouthwatering ‘renovated” recipe for Mexican Wedding Cakes (how loving of you) —
I browsed your blog and found your delightful recipe for hot chocolate with wine. I look forward to reading more…
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me. Have a wonderful holiday! And thank you so much for sharing your brilliance with us on the
Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Blog Hop. I appreciate it!
Hi Christine,
Growing up with a wonderfully happy, ever smiling mama, our holidays were large, noisy and included all of the traditional foods and festivities of the season. That meant rich, creamy, well-spiked eggnog. This was the one time of the year when we children got to drink alcohol–and boy what fun that was for us. So your joyful recipe for Irish Eggnog brings back fond memories of family members–long since gone–but still in my heart. Thank you for sharing this at the Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Blog Hop. I appreciate your spirit.
Hi Jennifer,
I too love the clean, simple, organized elegance of bento boxes. I got my first bento box lunch kit back in my “macrobiotic” days when lunch was really a multi-food meal, so this stainless steel bento box included containers for my obligatory miso soup, brown rice, seaweed, steamed veggies, beans or tofu. I would drink a cup of kukicha twig tea with lunch–served from thermos I also carried. It was awesome! I actually still have it tucked away in the uppermost reaches of my kitchen cabinet. Your post is inspiring me to take it down, clean it up and use it again. I love your bento box’s thermal carrying case with room for dry ice packs. Thank you for sharing this inspiring post at the Special Holiday Edition of the “Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Party” Blog Hop! I really appreciate it.
Hi Jennifer,
This recipe for cheesy protein crackers sounds amazing. Plus it seems relatively easy to make–now that you have helped us all by perfecting the recipe. These will be great with raw and vegan dips at parties and holiday festivities. Thank you for sharing this delicious recipe at the Special Holiday Edition of the “Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Party” Blog Hop! I really appreciate it.
Hi Sara,
I grew up with a loving grandmother who made homemade cough syrup for my brother and I so when I saw this recipe for elderberry syrup I was elated. I personally love to make and use natural cold and flu remedies such as my favorite ginger root tea. These remedies really work and they do less harm than many of the over the counter cold remedies in the drugstore. Thank you for sharing this healthy natural remedy at the Special Holiday Edition of the “Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Party” Blog Hop! I really appreciate it.
Hi Yossif,
I have been using and making probiotics for years but I have not made or tried kefir, so this post is both illuminating and inspiring. You have provided “everything you need to know to make, use and appreciate the benefits of kefir”. Thank you for sharing this healthy natural superfood at the Special Holiday Edition of the “Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Party” Blog Hop! I really appreciate it.
Hi Marla,
What a wonderful alternative to commercial granola bars!
I am going to make these treats to gift as stocking stuffers this Christmas. I bet they will be a hit! Thank you for sharing this healthy treat at the Special Holiday Edition of the “Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Party” Blog Hop! I really appreciate it.
Hi Marla,
This post could actually be my “personal checklist” for a healthy, relaxing holiday “survival” guide! I love it.
Lavender is my go-to essential oil too. I can’t survive without it! (Smile)
Thank you for sharing these invaluable tips for relaxing and staying healthy during the holdays
at the Special Holiday Edition of the “Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Party” Blog Hop! I really appreciate it.
Hi Marla,
I hope everyone follows your sound advice for a green and organic Christmas. And your warnings to avoid canned foods, skip the nonstick pans, and to store food safely in glass instead of plastic are particularly important. Thank you for sharing these critical holiday health tips at the Special Holiday Edition of the “Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Party” Blog Hop! I really appreciate it.
What a wonderful dish to wake up to on Christmas morning: Gingerbread Cookie Oatmeal (vegan style) topped with my favorite fruit!
This could become a new tradition in our home. Of course this recipe is good for any day! Thank you for sharing scrumptious recipe at the Special Holiday Edition of the “Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Party” Blog Hop! I really appreciate it.
Hi Jennifer,
What scrumptious food you have prepared! You are really making me hungry with these seasoned cashews, kale chips, and vegan sandwich spread. Thank you for sharing these delicious, nutritious recipes at the Special Holiday Edition of the “Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Party” Blog Hop! I really appreciate it.
Jennifer,
I must confess that I am a little envious of your beautiful, clearly-labelled mason jar and organized cabinets. Having such a well-stocked pantry and being able to easily access whatever you need for a variety of healthy, whole food recipes is the key to a healthy kitchen. This project is going to the top of my 2014 resolutions! Thank you so much for sharing this on the Healthy, Happy, Green and Natural Blog Hop. Happy Holidays!
Thank you SO MUCH for featuring my week of Advent meals! : ) I’ve been so busy with Christmas preparations (and a root canal) that I wasn’t on here & didn’t know till now! I really appreciate it! I’m adding my raw (ish) cookie assortment to this week’s hop – they’re really quick to make if you need a last minute, healthy treat!
I have been looking for new green tips for the holidays. I am always looking for ways to be a little more earth friendly. Thank you for sharing!
Hi Suzanne,
I am so glad you stopped by and shared your thoughts with us. Have a happy, green and healthy holiday!
I can’t wait to make these healthy and delicious “raw-ish” cookies. And your recipes make them so easy to achieve! Thank you so much for sharing these sweets on the Healthy, Happy, Green and Natural Blog Hop.
