Hi Kathy,
You made my day!
These inspirational quotes simply lifted me up! So often we focus on the negative when the positive and aspirational is so much more fulfllling and healthy. Plus it makes us feel good! My favorite quote is “There is a fountain of youth. It is your mind, your talents, the creativity you bring to your life and the lives of the people you love. When you learn to tap this source, you will truly have defeated age. ~ Sophia Loren” Thank you for sharing this wonderful post at the “Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Party” Blog Hop!
As the old saying goes, “Count your blessings”. That is what I try to do each day, especially in view of all of the trials and tribulations that many around us suffer from. I am so grateful and thankful for the good things, so I deeply appreciate your post: “3 Things I am Thankful For”. This list of toxic skin care product ingredients should be printed out, laminated and carried on every shopping trip for beauty and skin care products. It is that important! I’ve learned not to believe the advertising hype!
I too refer to EWG resources all the time to avoid toxic skin care ingredients, so my beauty and skin care regimen has changed dramatically to a simple, natural and organic routine.

“6 Reasons Why Sleeping In Your Makeup Is A Major Beauty Sin”
I remember many years ago when I was younger and dumber,I used to keep my makeup on at night “for vanity’s sake”. Thankfully I learned not to continue that practice and I have cleaned my skin proplerly every night for years.

What a though-provoking post you have shared: “Five Myths Of A Thankful Life”
I grew up with parents who instilled in me the importance of gratitude. Not just silent gratitude, but regular, polite expressions of thankfulness and appreciation were the standard behaviors expected of my brother and I as children. So as an adult I am still quick to say Thank You and look for the reasons to be grateful in almost everything I do and experience. It’s become second nature. However, I am aware of many of the myths you address above for example, “If you go around being thankful all the time people will see you as a Pollyanna at best, or a fool or idiot, at worst.” I cannot deny that some people may perceive my behavior that way, but I certainly hope not. I am so happy to be thankful for the many blessings in my life and I embrace active gratitude like a “celebration of life”.

Loving this blog hop! So much good information!
Hi! stopping by again to say hi and thanks for hosting the party. 🙂
“An apple a day” or more…is definitely great for our health! Recently my husband was suffering from extended constipation (yes, I said it) and I went to the pharmacist on his behalf for advice. She advised me to have him follow the 3 F’s: Fiber (in the form of apples with the skin), Fluids, Fitness! Well, I immediately headed to my local farmer’s market and bought lots of sweet, delicious and nutritious organic apples, sliced up a few for him and introduced him to his new “favorite fiber snack”. Suffice it to say, eating more apples helped him immensely. Of course, I can’t wait to try your yummy recipe for Caramel Apple Delight. This will entice him to eat even more apples! Coming from a family with lots of high cholesterol-sufferers, these natural remedies are right on point! Hi Marla,
This is a wonderfully comprehensive and informative post! As someone who is often found working on a computer, I always need to be reminded about the importance of regular exercise. I believe so strongly in these words that I may actually make a sign and post it on my refrigerator or bulletin board: “We accumulate toxins from the foods we eat, the air we breathe, personal care products that we use on our bodies. It is so important that we exercise regularly, get plenty of good quality sleep every night, eat properly which means no processed foods, eating locally and organically, use truly natural and organic personal care and cosmetics products.” Amen! Thank you so much for sharing this vital information with us at the Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural hop! I sincerely appreciate it!
Many of us just don’t realze that “the constant pull of gravity is the most powerful force you may be able to reverse and heal the compression of your body caused by gravity.” My father suffers from paralyzing spinal stenosis so when I read this post it made me wonder if my dad could have benefitted from inversion therapy earlier in his life and possibly avoided the debilitating effects of his condition. Thank you so much for sharing this post on the Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural hop! I appreciate it!
Hi Marla, I am always amazed when I see people drinking fresh vegetable and fruit juices and eating salads from local shops, salad bars and food carts that are made from non-organic fruits and vegetables.I often wonder if they have any idea what toxins they are ingesting in the name of trying to eat healthier. It is vital to me to eat and serve health-supportive food to my family that is free of GMO’s, artificial dyes, preservatives, and toxic pesticides–that’s why eating organic is best! And yes, growing our own organic produce is one of the best ways to know precisely what you are putting into your body! Thank you so much for sharing this post on the Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural hop! I appreciate it!
