Did you know that those who take time to decorate their work spaces are 17% more productive?
From paintings to photographs to graphic art and signage, all types of art and creative inspiration elevate us!
It’s true.
While art proves to be aesthetically pleasing, it also helps with productivity, stress, wellness, and memory too! In fact, employees who decorate their workspaces with art tend to be happier and healthier in general.
I have always loved to live with art around me — whether at home or in my office. I enhanced my workspace with paintings, photographs, prints, pottery and sculpture from my travels–creating a vibrant place to spend my days that made me feel good and stimulated my creativity.
Inspirational wall art signs (like the one above) make a great addition to your workspace. You can even create custom signs that reflect your vision!
In fact, a study by the University of Exeter’s School of Psychology revealed the potential for remarkable improvements in workers’ attitudes to their jobs by allowing them to personalize their offices and that employees who have control over the layout of their workspace are happier, healthier—and up to 32% more productive.
“Whether you spend your days working in a creative environment or have a more traditional setting,
the aesthetic of your office can directly impact both your mood and your motivation.
Workers who have creative control over their office surroundings, either control of the design
of the office itself or modest modifications to their desks, are likely to
produce better, more efficient work.”
That’s the scientific reason why an art-filled space is my happy place!
So what does that mean for the design of your own workspace?
Whether you work from home or an office, be sure to incorporate art that inspires you any way that you can.
