Brown rice is a staple in my kitchen but I sometimes hate the time it takes to cook it, so this post is right up my alley! I love the idea of being able to make a big batch of brown rice and freezing it, so that I can save time in the future by pulling out a container of frozen rice, defrosting it and serving it with steamed veggies or other toppings–for a quick, healthy, cheap meal! Awesome tips! Thank you so much for sharing this valuable post with us on the Healthy, Happy, Green and Natural Party Hop! We sincerely appreciate it!
I too was addicted to moist lips As a child, my mom slathered my dry, cracked lips with Vaseline daily. Then when I could afford it, I graduated to other commercial lip balms. In fact, I have not shown the world my “bare lips” since I was old enough to buy my own lip balm or gloss. Little did I know the ugly truth about the ingredients in these seemingly helpful products.( I mean our mothers and grandmothers trusted this stuff, so it should be fine, right?) Unfortunately as your illuminating post reveals, these lip balms don’t heal at all. They are actually full of harmful ingredients that should never been on our mouths! I too became concerned about this problem and did some research which led to a post on how to avoid toxic ingredients that could affect our health by making our own moisturizing, natural lip glosses:

Thanks for reminding us all of the value of eating together as a family. When I grew up the happiest and most important time of the day was the evening meal where the entire family gathered to eat, discuss the day and share thoughts and ideas. Dining together at the table was mandatory then. I must say that I miss those times. Nowadays most of our meals are gobbled in front of a TV or PC. And thank you so much for sharing this valuable post with us on the Healthy, Happy, Green and Natural Party Hop! We sincerely appreciate it!
I am so glad you revealed the dirty little secrets behind what is really in most commercial dental care products! It is pretty horrifying to know that we put these ingredients into our mouths daily! I love your natural toothcare recipes. I often make my own toothpaste with baking soda or sea salt as well. Thank you so much for sharing this valuable post with us on the Healthy, Happy, Green and Natural Party Hop! We sincerely appreciate it!

Thanks for coming clean with the dirt on antibacterial soaps!
It is amazing how savvy marketers have duped us into believing that antibacterial products more effective fighting germs. The fact that triclosan can leave us more susceptible to infections and encourages the growth of resistant bacteria is truly disturbing. Why should we buy soaps that are toxic to our health and the environment when we can make or buy safer, natural, organic alternatives? Hi Gigi,
After a week of overeating on Thanksgiving, then overeating on a 7 day cruise, this post is just what I needed to remind me to “walk the talk” and adopt a very disciplined approach in order to avoid the dreaded holiday season weight gain. I mean “who needs it”? Trying to lose weight is such a drag, right? I generally survive the holidays by always making a huge salad as part of the holiday dinner menu and making that my main dish. Thank you so much for sharing this “lifesaving” post with us on the Healthy, Happy, Green and Natural Party Hop! We sincerely appreciate these tips for keeping evil weight gain at bay! Have a happy holiday!
