Choosing the right hotel for your family vacation may seem like a daunting task, but it
does not have to be.
From considering the needs of all your family members to making sure your hotel stay
is within your budget, there are many things to consider.
However, if you plan carefully, you can have all your accommodation needs met to make
your trip more enjoyable.
“Choosing the right hotel for your
family vacation may seem like a
daunting task, but it does not
have to be.”
Here are some helpful tips for choosing the right hotel:
Set a budget
The most important thing that you can do is come up with a budget and stick with it.
Most of the time, families spend too much on their lodging and run out of money for
doing all the important things that they would like to do on their vacation: visiting popular
attractions and eating at nice restaurants.
No matter what budget you set, you will always find a hotel that meets your needs and is in
your price range.
Research
Do not limit your search to one website.
Look at popular social media sites like Yelp to see what other vacationers are saying about a hotel.
Reading reviews and going through photos is a good way of finding out what the hotel is really like.
Pay attention to the characteristics that are on your priority list and do not worry too much about
anything else.
Prioritize Hotel Features
When looking for the perfect place to stay, you should prioritize your needs and wants.
Based on the vacation you are considering, some amenities will be more important than others will.
For instance, if you are taking a road trip, features like location and price are more important because
you will not be spending much time in your room.
However, if you plan to spend most of your trip in the hotel room, amenities such as wireless internet,
hotel pool, and free breakfast should be at the top of your list.
Depending on how old your kids are, you may opt to request adjoining rooms or share a single one.
Look Around
No matter where you plan to vacation, knowing what is near your hotel room will enhance
your stay.
After selecting a hotel, look for attractions, restaurants, and stores that are nearby.
You may find a hidden gem near your hotel that might not show up on the tourist itinerary.
Include Your Family
Because you will be vacationing with your whole family, it makes sense to ask them about their
hotel preferences.
Start by asking them what they consider most important in terms of hotel amenities.
Alternatively, you can narrow down your choices to three and take a vote.
Doing so could be a fun way to excite your family before the trip.
Moreover, it takes the pressure of choosing the hotel off you.
This will allow you to spend more time enjoying yourself instead of stressing yourself out.

Do Not Be Shy
The best advice about your vacation can come from the person sitting at the front desk.
He or she can suggest the best restaurants and attractions in the vicinity like Princess Bayside Beach Hotel.
Moreover, when you check in, make sure that you ask all the questions you may have:
How close is your room to the elevator?
Is there an ice machine near your room?
No matter which hotel you end up in, make sure that your next family vacation is unforgettable.
From selecting your room to planning the whole thing, your next trip will be a breeze with these tips.

A pool! A pool with my girls is essential. Free breakfast, that’s essential for me.
Great tips! We’re usually pretty limited when trying to find hotels that accommodate 5 people (without being crazy expensive) but if I look long and hard enough I can usually find something just right for us. We stayed one night in Ocean City MD this Sept. on our way home from Myrtle Beach. It’s a fun area!
