Food is also incredibly cheap in the area, with delicious, fresh meals starting from just $2. Tonsai Beach is packed with bars, restaurants and an amazing nightlife, so there’s plenty to get yourself involved in.

Cambodia is an emerging tourist destination but happens to boast some of the nicest and most architecturally fascinating cities in the world. Siem Reap is home to a stunning temple complex that is well worth a visit and you can spend more than a day exploring it.
You can also explore the chic city through local tours specialising in history, culture and food. Even better the local draft beer is only $0.50 a glass at happy hour, which is perfect for those on a tight budget. 1Cover’s travel writer, Ben Groundwater, says don’t forget about the capital city, Phnom Penh, too though. It may be chaotic, but you’ll learn to love it.
