1. Neem Oil Antibacterial Tooth Powder

Neem oil is a natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal that promotes healthy gums and teeth.

*Mix a drop or two of neem oil

*with a tablespoon of baking soda

to make your own toothpaste.

Add a drop of peppermint oil to improve the taste and to freshen breath.

Peppermint oil is an antiinflammatory and an antiseptic.

It is also helpful to use for toothaches.

Shake well to combine.

2. Fight Bacteria with DIY Tea Tree Oil Toothpaste

Tea tree oil is also anti-bacterial and anti-fungal, making it good for your teeth.

Use it as you would neem oil.

*Mix a drop or two of tea tree oil

*with a tablespoon of baking soda.

Add a drop of peppermint or cinnamon essential oil to improve the taste.

Shake well to combine.

3. Baking Soda & Xylitol Tooth Cleaner

Combine:

*1 tablespoon Baking Soda

*1/4 teaspoon Xylitol

*Neem or Tea Tree Oil

*Peppermint or Cinammon Oil

Dip your toothbrush into this mixture and brush.

This sweetener, xylitol is derived from birch trees and is healthful for teeth.

It is often used in commercial toothpastes and in sugar-free chewing gum.

4. Cardamon & Spearmint Mouthwash

Cardamom is an herb that contains cineole, an effective antiseptic substance.

Use it to make a healthful mouthwash:

*Steep two ounces or so of crushed cardamom pods

* in 2 cups of vodka

*Add a handful of spearmint leaves

to improve the taste and add even more cineole.

Simply leave the herbs in the vodka and use as needed.

You can also chew the cardamom pods, then spit them out when finished.

Note: If you don’t want to use the vodka, make a strong tea from 1 cup boiling water poured

over 1 tablespoon each of crushed cardamom pods and chopped spearmint leaves.

Use as a mouthwash and store in the refrigerator.

7. Cleansing Clay Tooth Powder

Clay, salt and even certain sticks have been used to maintain clean, healthy teeth and gums

for centuries.

To make this cleansing tooth powder, combine:

4 teaspoons green or white clay

1 teaspoon salt

2 drops peppermint oil

2 drops lemon oil

Blend these ingredients in a blender.

Store in a small container.

Wet your toothbrush and dip it into the tooth powder adding a tiny bit of water.

Then brush as you normally do.

8. Whitening Herbal Tooth Powder

Combine:

2 tablespoons Bicarbonate of Soda

2 teaspoons dried sage, ground

1 tablespoon dried orange peel, ground

1 teaspoon salt

5 drops lemon oil

Blend well in the blender.

Dip your toothbrush into this mixture and brush.

9. Myrrh Mouthwash

Myrrh has been used to treat gums for centuries.

Make a healing mouthwash by adding:

2 drops of essential oil of myrrh to

1 tablespoon of vodka.

Mix well.

Simply add 2 drops of myrrh mouthwash to a glass of water to rinse your mouth.

3. Whiten Teeth with Hydrogen Peroxide
