Deborah,
Thank you SO much for featuring my post explaining why my daughter will NOT be selling Girl Scout Cookies this year and helping me share information about this important issue!
This week I have something much more low-key–WINE! Spiced wine for those “Oh, I wish it was springtime!” winter evenings. :)

Thanks for hosting! I always need a fresh boost of healthy inspiration mid-week, especially this week. We have almost a foot of snow on the ground, and the temps are REALLY cold. I’m so glad I got my outside run in yesterday, however, tomorrow’s run will be on the treadmill. Not my favorite thing to do.

Thanks, I’m honored to be featured this week! I’ve shared a post about Microgreens, which is my favorite gardening method in the winter, because I can grow on my windowsill.

Hi Shelle,
Great to see that you are posting about Microgreens. They are so nutrient rich. I live in an apartment and I have been planning to try growing microgreens indoors this year. Now I have to find the right spot. Thank you so much for being a part of Live it up at the “Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Party”! I appreciate it.

Hi Libby,
What an amazing collection of turmeric recipes! This post is a turmeric lover’s dream! My favorite ways to use turmeric are in hearty vegetable soups, lentil soup, and steamed or stir-fried vegetables! There is something so satisfying about the flavor and the fact that it is sooo good for you! Thank you so much for sharing this post at the “Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Party”! Hi Barb,
What a comprehensive summary of spring gardening tasks! I grew up in a house with a large yard and a wonderful vegetable garden. Since I am living in the city now, I miss my childhood garden and all of that fresh produce. There’s nothing quite like a home grown tomato! Thank you so much for sharing these valuable tips and resources at the “Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Party”! I appreciate it!

Hi Jennifer,
Wow! What a thought-provoking look at the principles shared in The Humanure Handbook. This is a very interesting read. I remember going to visit my grandparents in North Carolina as a child when they still had an outhouse. I am certain that they would have benefited from reading this insightful guide.Thank you so much for sharing this valuable information at the “Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Party”! Hi Jennifer,
I love Chili! I especially adore this vegan version! The inclusion of my favorite superfoods like shiitake mushrooms, walnuts, and quinoa, makes it a giant hit with me. It is so hearty and filling! I am known for my thick, hearty bean soups but this is even richer than most of mine. I can’t wait to make this chili recipe.Thank you so much for being a part of Live it up at the “Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Party”!

Hi Barb,
How to find balance in my life?. That is the most challenging aspect of my busy lifestyle. Everything seems to be important so it is often very hard to prioritize properly and get everything on my perpetual ‘to-do’ lists done, so I found this article very helpful and reassuring. There is hope for me.I just have to keep doing “me”! Thank you so much for sharing these valuable insights at the “Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Party”!

Hi Kristina,
I love the green essentials you recommended!
We all have items that make our green lives easier. I too, love to save every glass jar possible to reuse for storage and even for use as drinking glasses. An inexpensive glass cutter allows us to recycle glass jars into drinking glasses and vases. And your bag organizer is simply a must-have! I usually stuff my growing collection of reusable bags into one larger bag. I always grab a bag or two and stuff them into my tote bag when I leave the house in case I have to do some shopping. Thank you so much for sharing these valuable tips at the “Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Party”! I appreciate it!

Hi – thanks for organising this blog hop. There are so many posts I want to visit!
I’ve chosen to share a post I wrote in a personal blog challenge – 7 meditations. They’re not conventional, but ways to bring vision and mindfulness into your life, and methods I’ve used to help with anxiety issues :-)

What an important and timely post! I have become obsessed with reducing my toxic exposures from fragrances and personal care products! It is such a shame that awareness is still low about these “fragrant health hazards”. I have tossed all of my expensive perfumes and products with added fragrance. A little dab of essential oils here and there will have to suffice for me. And natural air fresheners made from essential oils are wonderful to use in the home! What a delightful post!
This topic really brings back memories of growing up with a wonderful, stay at home mom in the suburbs who loved to try every modern trend in convenience foods, but she also cooked fresh food from scratch, maintained a backyard vegetable garden and we always sat down to dinner at the table together as a family and talked with other. Years ago I used to mindlessly grab a protein bar or an energy bar for some extra energy before working out or to satisfy my hunger afterward. Now that I have become more and more aware of the harmful side effects of many of the ingredients in protein bars and shakes I avoid most processed “foods”. I prefer to carry unprocessed energy snacks like organic nuts and fresh fruit with me. I also prefer to make a food based green smoothie without protein powder instead of using powdered shake mixes. Hi Kimberley,
Once I discovered how harmful conventional cleaning products can be, I am always on the look out for safe, non-toxic yet effective, green cleaning products. I read more details about Scour Off and I was happy to read that it is made from natural abrasives and biodegradable cleaning agents, nor does it contain chlorine, bleach or dye or release toxic fumes. Thank you for sharing this helpful green cleaner with us at the Happy, Healthy, Green & Natural Blog Hop. I appreciate it!
