Today’s Day by Day Homesteading post is about how we can still be resilient in our gardening endeavors when nature “doesn’t play nice.” This is important, since we will never be able to control everything. We just need to respect and work with nature as best we can.

Hi Rebecca,
I grew up with a large backyard garden where we fought the good fight against squirrel, birds, insects, worms(and a few humans too) to achieve a successful harvest. I am so glad you pointed out the we must coexist with animals since the too must survive and I am delighted that you found and shared a natural deterrent against the squirrels with us at the Healthy, Happy, Green and Natural Party Blog Hop! I appreciate it!

Hi Deborah!
Today’s post is about toxic plastics hiding in plain sight! Thanks for another great Hop!
Peace,
Sara

Hi Sara,
Thank you for raising awareness of this critical issue! Knowledge is power and so many of us are unaware of the dangers associated with everyday plastic products in our lives. I am constantly trying to minimize our exposure to plastics by replacing toxic products with nontoxic, green and natural ones. For example, we replaced our vinyl shower curtain with a natural fiber one. We rarely buy canned goods and I try to avoid receiving or touching cashier receipts. We use glass food storage containers and save glass jars to reuse for storage. Now, a bamboo toothbrush is next on my list, so I am delighted that you shared this insightful post on common products that contain toxic plastic with us at the Healthy, Happy, Green and Natural Party Blog Hop! I appreciate it!

Hi Heather,
“No more excuses” are the words on the fantasy t-shirt in my head! (Smile) I have been guilty of making lots of excuses in my head for not doing what I need to do! We all need to be reminded of the basic fundamentals over and over until it becomes second nature and we make healthy, fit living a lifestyle! Thanks for reminding us to develop a workout plan and commit to it. I recently started using a FitBit Flex and I found that this was the motivation I needed to push myself harder to reach the goals I set. I’m loving it!
