Hi GiGi,
Whether it’s New Year’s Eve or Cinco de Mayo, you really know how to throw a party! Of course, a strong and tasty alcoholic beverage never hurts! I’ve been using Barleans oils for quite a while. They have a good reputation. I can imagine drizzling your avocado cilantro dressing on lots of dishes! So good! There is nothing like a great taco–or margarita–so thank you for sharing this healthy and delicious recipe on the Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Blog Hop! I appreciate it!

Happy Tuesday!

Hi Christine,
As a former school teacher, I am very pro-uniforms for all of the excellent social and environmental reasons you shared but especially because by eliminating the “clothing divide” it becomes a bit easier to judge classmates based upon on who they are, rather than their clothing choices. This is a big deal because I have witnessed tantrums, fights and all manner of melt-downs surrounding “what to wear or what not to wear” for social-acceptability and popularity. So I say “Up with uniforms”! I am so glad you shared this thought-provoking post at the Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Blog Hop! Many will benefit from it and I appreciate it!

I agree with you that the best advice is to start young and continue these healthy, anti-aging habits throughout your life! I would add that reducing stress, maintaining a happy, positive outlook, worrying less and smiling more are great practices to incorporate into your lifestyle. Hi Jacquelyn,
I am so delighted to get a peak into your new life at a permaculture educational center and eco-village. I can’t wait to read more about your experiences, but as a busy mom, wife, worker, and blogger I know it must be challenging but interesting and amazing. I have always imagined what it would be like to actually apply what we are learning and blogging about in a natural, eco-friendly environment with like-minded people. I hope you are making lots of good friends. Your daughter seems so happy, exploring her environment and playing with other children (without having to coordinate play dates)! Hi Janine,
It is amazing how wonderful essentials are! I watched my father spend tons of money and endanger his health by using toxic insecticides and pesticides in our backyard garden. He is now suffering from a neurological disease and I wonder if his years of exposure is a cause. We don’t really know, but what we do know is that there are safer, natural alternatives like your wonderful peppermint essential oil-based garden sprays–so safe, even a child can use it.I am so glad you shared these effective natural gardening recipes with us at the Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Blog Hop! Hi Marwa,
You are right on this point! Clearly as parents–as well as teachers and others who interact with children–our expectations of them are critically important. What we expect of them is reflected back to them and becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. If we expect the best of them, that is reflected in our tone and style of communication and perceived by them. Thank you so much for sharing such an insightful and eye-opening article with us at the Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Blog Hop! We’ll definitely benefit from your insights. I am delighted to have a chance to explore your blog, your mission and your powerful work with families. All the best, Deborah

Hi Marla,
Including these “foods for moods” in our lives can literally be life-altering! Too many of us live in a permanent funk which is such a drag! It creates a disturbing cycle of stress, depression and insomnia which is clearly no joke and quite difficult to break free from. We often resort to harsh pharmaceutical drugs with harmful side effects to treat these issues, when we can tame these moods naturally by knowing which mood foods and supplements to use along with a healthy diet. Thanks for turning us on to these powerful mood foods –including this healthy and delicious “Happy” Smoothie –at the Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Blog Hop! So many will benefit from this!
