My recipe has meat but it can be done without it also. I did not notice no meat info before I already had posted it. I hope it’s not a problem.

As a smoothie lover, this strawberry refresher sounds refreshing and delightful! I can’t wait to try this combination of ingredients–especially with chocolate! I must say that I have not been including chocolate in my smoothies. Maybe it is time for me to shake things up a bit and add some! I have been adding new gluten free grains to my diet lately. I love quinoa especially, but I find that millet, corn, amaranth and buckwheat are interesting grains as well.Thank you so much for sharing this fabulous post on the Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Blog Hop! I appreciate it!

I never say no to lentils so I love this recipe for gluten free, vegan lentils and veggies. I make a pot of lentil soup or stew often–varying my recipe a bit each week–so I look forward to trying this recipe soon. Hi Marla,
I like start my day with a big green smoothie much like yours! I love the idea of including almond or coconut milk as well as flaxseeds! I also add hemp seeds and chia seeds to my smoothies. I totally agree with your tips for a healthy and balanced lifestyle, in fact they are so key we should post these on our refrigerate doors along with other vital healthy lifestyle reminders. I learn something new every day including a word that describes “vart” — oh my! Now I am going to have to try to do a gentle kegel when preparing to change yoga positions to see if this helps. I am so excited to read that you and your colleagues are planning to start a rooftop garden. That is so cool! I grew up with a father who maintained a wonderful backyard garden but now that I live in the city I have not yet started gardening. I have been thinking about joining a community garden or approaching the board to let us convert a rooftop greenspace into an organic community garden. I love your meatless recipes! They’re great for Lent–or anytime–in my opinion! I especially like the Roasted Red Pepper Soup, Ginger, Butternut Squash, and Apple Soup as well as the

I have fond memories from childhood of my mother applying dry shampoo to my hair when I was sick with the flu or a bad cold.
