Hi Barb,
Wow! You and I both love to shop at Goodwill and other thrift shops. (I also donate quite a lot there too.) I am fortunate enough to have 7 great thrift shops right in my neighborhood, but like you, I have found my best, good-quality, used clothing at Goodwill. I love your frugal fitness finds! Thank you so much for sharing these valuable tips on the Healthy, Happy, Green & Natural Blog Hop! I appreciate it!

Thanks for hosting!! I featured my Mexican Cheese dip recipe this week. Mexican Cheese dip was something that my family really missed when we decided to start to get healthy. This wasn’t just a recipe for me, this was a way to bring back one of our family traditions. It is soooo good that I forget that it doesn’t have dairy in it. I hope you have a really great week this week and I hope to see you at my link up! I always love reading what you link up with me!!

Hello.
I am feeling a little awkward about posting this article… because I’m not sure it is really Blog Hop fare. However, a couple of weeks ago my post “Why we are NOT selling Girl Scout Cookies” was featured here… and I thought you might all like an update.
Thank you for your support!

Hi Christine,
I am so glad you did an update to the Girl Scout cookie post. It is a very important subject that needs to be exposed, addressed and resolved. It is important to speak out and take action for what we believe in. I am so proud of you and your daughter. As a former Girl Scout, I am hoping that the organization makes some significant changes in their policies.

Reply

deborah February 10, 2014 at 3:06 pm

Hi Christine,
As a former Girl Scout, I am appalled at the hypocrisy of the Girl Scout leaders and the organization. Their unwillingness to consider your well-documented arguments against including GMOs in Girl Scout cookies reflects their basic greed and disregard for the young girls who eat and sell those cookies–as well as their customers. I am so proud of the stance you took, and your daughter will benefit by learning to stand up for what she believes in. That is the quality of character the Girl Scouts organization should be helping to build in young girls. Instead, they are contributing to a possible future of serious health issues. They certainly do not live up to the Girl Scout pledge that I used to spout with pride. Keep up the fight! You are an amazing role model!

A “weekend reboot” detox event that’s happening this weekend, a “miracle morning” (quick) fitness routine, and a post I wrote that delves into the world of women’s health/fitness AND nutrition in kind of a quirky way (“are kegels the ‘whole grains’ of women’s health?”).
